Am I wrong to wonder if Macron is creating this Middle East flurry of recognizing Palestinian statehood in order to distract from the news story that his wife is really a man (French president sues Candace Owens over claims his wife is a man)?
If Macron wants to recognize the independence and statehood of someplece, maybe he should start with New Caledonia.

I don't know what motivated Macron to recognize Palestinian statehood. But I do know that Candace Owens is an attention seeking nut job from way back. She's been hammering away at this "Brigitte Macron is a man" thing for so long that the Macrons finally got mad and fought back. There are people who are doing the same b.s. to Michelle Obama, claiming she is a man. When they can't justify their support of MAGA world, their response is always to deflect and make ridiculous accusations, usually of a woman.
I hadn't heard of Candace Owens before. The conservatives are really obsessed with transgendered people, a tiny percentage of the population.
