I voted for Jerry for president in the primaries in 1992 over Bill Clinton. He did pretty well in New York, if I recall, and hung in the race for a while. He was sleeping on his supporters' couches.
He's a very interesting guy. I didn't realize he was now the AG for California.
California's so weird: From Ronald Reagan to Jerry Brown in back-to-back terms. What a schizophrenic state!
I still think this argument - that you can't use the amendment process to get rid of constitutional rights - may be the most effective one in the long run. It takes it out of an emotional context - which is completely irrational at times - and places it in a legal and rational framework. Then it doesn't matter is somebody hates gay people - it's about the Constitution and doing what's best for the rights of everyone in the country.

Yeah, that may be the best chance to overturn prop 8. California is weird ... what do you mean, what are you trying to say? :)
