I like the picture, a lot. Even though things didn't work out as you might have seen them that day. That's the way life is sometimes; but that mustn't stop us from hoping & believing in the future.
Over the years you've shared bits and pieces of yourself, your history, your family -- & I hadn't seen or known anything about your marriage. I remember pictures youve posted of your sister, your grandparents, your mom, and of course Kermit.
And when you write, you post a lot of really diverse and interesting things, and add just enough of your own gentle personality to them. All those pieces make a very lovely picture. I'm sure I'm not the only one who reads your blog that feels that way!
I think that you have done a wonderful job of describing Crystal. I think that all I can add is that I would be proud to claim Crystal as my daughter. I only wish she would let me do more for her.
I'm smiling at your "storing nuts" comment. We see ourselves in such a warped way! No one else would say that about your picture, Crystal. I think you look lovely. Your face always looks beautiful. Your mom did a great job on the dress. And I love your flowers.
Odd? No. I would describe as "odd" those ridiculous, ostentatious affairs that cost zillions more than anyone should reasonably want to pay. Both my kids are engaged now. I hope one couple gets married on their gorgeous lake dock and the other chooses her grandparents' lovely pond. Hmm.....maybe I'll blog about this. ;-)

Denny, thanks :)
Deacon Denny,
