Sweet Sir Galahad

I like this song Joan Baez wrote for her sister Mimi who'd lost her first husband but then fell in love again ......

  1. I've always figured that Joan Baez was talented but I guess for some reason, I've been two lazy to really learn more about her. If memories serves me right, I recall of at least two songs that I put of her on my blog. A country song named, "The green grass of home" and a folk song, titled "Where have all the flowers gone" but something tells me that I probably missed one.

I hear ya! One of your brain cells must be holding on to "IT" for when "The Time" is right Victor! Go Figure?

That must be "IT" crystal! :)

    Peace

  2. Some of my brain cells just told me that the real name for "Where have all the flowers gone" is really "Blowing in the wind" and I hope they are right this time. :)

Where Have All the Flowers Gone, Pete Seeger.

Blowin in the Wind, Bob Dylan

    I think.

  4. Sorry for not responding sooner - icky couple of days, heater is broken and had to wait for hours for the PG&E guy to come and then tell me he didn't know what was wrong. At least it's sunny.

    I think Richard is right.

  5. Thanks for posting that song, Crystal. I've always liked it, and I just love Joan Baez. I hadn't known the story behind that song, though... a nice bit of personal history.
