I've loved that one ever since I sang it with a corporate choir when I was 21. Heard a most dreadful rendition at a middle-school Christmas concert: upbeat, with a drum solo.
It was strictly instrumental, thank goodness. I don't think most of the people in the audience knew what they were listening to. (Even if you knew the song, it was hard to recognize it.)

It is kind of a weird carol - most are about the nativity but that one's about some time after. Kind of grusome.
