I think you'd enjoy both the book and the movie. My wife and I used to commute together and listened to the Life of Pi audio-book. We liked it so much we named one of our baby horses after the title character :) Have a great New Year Crystal. You've had some very compelling posts lately. And I love Simon the cat!

Thanks for the recommendation. For some reason I had thought the book was about something entirely different and didn't realize it until I saw the trailer.

You should definitely read Life of Pi. I read it years ago, shortly after it came out, and loved it. Today I saw the movie, and thought it was terrific. I didn't think, after reading the book, that it would ever be made into a movie, but it's a brilliant adaptation.
Thanks for the recommendation, PP. I'll definitely look for it at the library - maybe they have an audio version there. If not, then kindle :)
