My sister gave me a bulb that has grown into this little flower, but I don't know what it is ... any ideas? ...

I think it could be a dahlia of some sort, Crystal.
Otherwise, it looks something like a strawflower, but I don't think they grow from bulbs.

I think you're right about the dahlia - I just looked it up at Wikipedia and it does look similar. Yeah, sunflowers do grow from seeds. Thank you :)
