Trump created the DACAr problem in the first place by ending the program

Trump promised - on video - that he would sign any bipartisan deal brought to him on DACA.

He lied. He changes his mind about a bipartisan bill from Durbin and Graham, calling Haiti and Africa shithole countries.

And meanwhile, the Republicans have continuously put off funding the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to use as leverage against Democrats.

Republicans refuse to sign a bill to end the government shutdown because Democrats want it to include a DACA deal and CHIP funding. Republicans pretend they can't understand why oh why Democrats don't trust them and Trump to take care of DACA and CHIP at some later date.

Trump and the Republicans *own* this government shutdown.
