Why?

Trump and his minions keep pushing the drug hydroxychloroquine as treatment for the virus, despite that there is no evidence it helps, some evidence it can cause harm, and despite his medical expert, Dr. Fauci, being against recommending it before it has been tested (Trump keeps promoting an unproven coronavirus treatment — despite his experts’ advice).

Why is he pushing it? Do Trump or Jared plan to benefit financially from the use of the drug?
