Robert Mueller on Roger Stone
The day after Trump commuted the sentence of his pal Roger Stone, former head of the FBI and former Special Counsel Robert Mueller has written an op-ed titled Robert Mueller: Roger Stone remains a convicted felon, and rightly so, defending his Russia investigation and Roger Stone's conviction. It's worth reading.

I have a lot of respect for Mueller. But I wish he had plainly said that his investigation had found impeachable offenses, because it did. He maintained that it was Congress'job to make that call, which it was. But they refused to do their job, which was an abdication of responsibility. I'm glad Mueller wrote this article setting the record straight. But it won't make any difference to those who still want to avoid any responsibility.
Yeah, it's amazing how Trump and his followers have been able to obviate all that Mueller found. I think Mueller first made his investigation too narrow - I don't think he looked at Trump's finances, for instance. Then he failed to get Trump to five an in-person interview. And apparently Trump lied on his written answers to the written questions he did answer, but he wasn't forced to answer for that. Then the final report was too long and detailed, and the oral explanation Mueller gave before congress wasn't very well done. And then William Barr misrepresented the conclusions. Over all it was really disappointing.
