Day 8
Just finished watching the 8th hearing from the January 6 committee. This one was about what Trump was doing in those 187 minutes between his speech at the Ellipse in the morning and his creepy video asking the rioters to disperse at 4pm.
There were two in-person witnesses and many video/taped witnesses. What I have found so inexplicable during all the hearings is how so many seemingly intelligent and decent people spent 4 years working for a psychopath, and never noticed what he was until the very end (if even then). I could listen to Trump speak for 5 minutes and know he is a bad guy. I don't get it.

I don't see how people can listen to his voice for more than five minutes. And that signature squinty eyed scowl. I could see how people could get sucked in by somebody who was actually charming and charismatic, and attractive. They could still be a scoundrel. But Trump is none of those things. And he is a scoundrel. And yes, he should never be allowed anywhere near power again.
