I had read the story about the five women from Texas who are bringing the lawsuit previously. If I read correctly, all five were dealing with miscarriage and not a viable pregnancy. Morally speaking giving them appropriate medical care would not have ended a life. We have created such an atmosphere of mistrust that doctors were too intimidated to actually practice medicine.
Yes, and that is part of the plan - create a climate of fear that will keep doctors from doing what even the abortion bans will technically allow, like exceptions for the life of the mother. That chilling effect can be seen too in the recent decision of Walgreen's to no longer carry abortion pills even in states where abortion is legal. More women will die, but that's ok.
