Ezra and Haviv

In the past I've often watched the podcasts of Ezra Klein of The New York Times. Whenever he's had an episode on Israel, I've wished he would have Haviv Rettig Gur as his guest (Ezra falls into the Democrats against Israel pile). Many other people in the comments to Ezra's videos have also mentioned Haviv, but Ezra has never had him on the podcast so far. But today I saw video by Haviv that comments on Ezra's show and his complaints about Israel. It was very interesting ...

It seems to me that Ezra Klein is very one-sided and resorts to jargon and buzz words on anything to do with the middle east. Phrases like "settlers" and "colonialism" are not helpful or accurate. And it's kind of rich coming from the US because unless we are Native Americans we all were settlers in some sense originally.

I don't understand the settler problem - sometimes they are called "hilltop youth" - the violence is bad and those who engage in it should be arrested. I'm not sure why that's not happening. The rules of who is in charge of them and who can arrest them ... the Israeli police or the army ... is confusing to me. It seems like a big mess. I saw that some Republican politician, Bo French, has said that Native Americans in the US are savages and should be deported.
