Lawrence O’Donnell gives his opinion of the Graham Platner situation, revealing some detail about that candidate that I was not aware of, like that he comes from a wealthy family, with a mom who buys his oysters for her restaurant and a dad who bought him his home.

Glad I don't live in Maine, they'll have to figure this whole thing out. I was feeling negative about Platner before the latest things came out. And I am thinking, the bad stuff was there all along. It was his fault for being deceptive about who he is. But don't the PTB in the party go to any trouble to vet their candidates?
It is odd. Who is responsible for choosing candidates and vetting them? Maybe it's just every person for themselves? Apparently the team behind Mamdani and Fetterman were the one who chose Platner.
I think they're trying to appeal to men, especially the ones in the "working class". But why do they think jerks would appeal to people who work for a living?
I guess they think it worked for Trump in the last election. He got the young men vote then. And he is the epitome of "jerk".
