Grendel

Two years ago tomorrow is the day my cat Grendel died. She was a stray cat who just showed up and hung around in the yard. I didn't have any pets and didn't want any, so although I left food out for her, I gave her the emotional cold shoulder. Then one day I found her with three newborn kittens - Data, Spot, and Kermit. I took them in, but still didn't want pets, so I tried like crazy to find homes for them. It never happened, and the longer they stayed, the more I came to care about them. I'm not sure why, but I've been thinking about Grendel, Spot, and Data a lot lately - miss them.

Oh, Crystal, this is a touching little story. I did not know that you came to have your cats in this way. Of course that you miss them a lot.

After Tzutzu (called also Zizhou) will pass away (I dread to think about that day)I am sure it will be sad without him.

My mom agreed to take him at the beginning only for few days. But when she took him in her arms first time, the little kitten pressed itself against her body so strongly, looking for protection and love, that she knew immediately in her heart that Tzutzu will end-up its days in her house.:-)

Hi Paula,

Yes, I got all four of them at once, after not having any pets since I was a kid. I hope Tzutzu will be with you for a very long time :-)

it's so hard, because pets really do become part of the family.
they have their own little quirks, habits and personalities!

like Paula, I dread the day my dog Scout dies (try not to think about it) because he's a part of our family and we all love him so much!

I can understand why you miss them
xoxo

She really was a beauty. All cats are beautiful, I think, but some are dazzling. Grendel dazzles.

Rachel,

hi - you're back from fly camp? Yep, they really do become family members.

Susan, your Pogo and Annie are beautiful .... you should post some more pics of them. Annie's golden eyes are amazing.

I think cats are such beautiful animals. I have had my share of them over the years. But I have a grandchild who is highly allergic to cats. So, no cats for me now.

I once had a gray cat when I was a teenager. I gave it the silliest name: Mun-u-mun. How I came up with that name I will never know.

Oh, kittens. Don't get me started on kittens, those darling little creatures.
