Any reasons given for his invocation not being included?

HBO can be contacted here:

Couldn't find a good contact link for MSNBC as a whole.

Interesting invocation. Grant us anger, discomfort.

Give Obama a "quiet heart." That's a good prayer.

Hi William,

No, I haven't read of the reason, but I did see this update at the Episcopal Cafe ...

A PIC source reports that some clips from the Lincoln Memorial event, including Bishop [Gene] Robinson's prayer, will be played on the Mall prior to the swearing in ceremony. In addition, there are reports that HBO will likely include the prayer in its re-broadcast of the event.

Rachel Maddow had a report about this on her show tonight. It looks like it was a slip-up by an Obama staffer who included the invocation in the "pre-show" part of the concert program given to HBO. HBO took that to mean pre-coverage of what they were going to broadcast.

HBO is going to include the invocation in its re-broadcast tomorrow. The Obama staffer apologized for the confusion. All's well that end's well.
