Bart interrupted
Doubtless you've heard of Bart Ehrman's latest book, Jesus Interrupted: Revealing the Hidden Contradictions in the Bible (And Why We Don't Know About Them) - it's probably more well known from Ehrman's interview with Stephen Colbert than from serious reviews :) .....

But if you are interested in serious reviews of the book, check out the two detailed posts by Ben Witherington ..... Bart Interrupted -- A Detailed Analysis of 'Jesus Interrupted' Part One and Bart Interrupted -- A Detailed Analysis of 'Jesus Interrupted' Part Two and Bart Interrupted -- A Detailed Analysis of 'Jesus Interrupted' Part Three and Bart Interrupted -- A Detailed Analysis of 'Jesus Interrupted' Part Four.

Wow. I'm surprised he went on Colbert's show and put himself through that. I remember Geza Vermes (best known expert on the Dead Sea scrolls) making a lot of the same points that Ehrman made, about what was meant in the Old Testament by 'Son of Man' or 'Son of God'. At any rate, I think he has more heft as a scholar than Witherington does.
Ehrman had an interesting debate with the fundamentalist serial debater James White not too long ago. The transcript can be found at aomin.org.
Hi Jeff,
Yeah, he had an online discussion with NT Wright too about his last book on theodicy. I think Bart e raises interesting questions but doesn't always seem to give full credit to th arguments already made by those who disagree.
