Amnesty International / Patrick Stewart
I saw this video today of the actor Patrick Stewart speaking about Amnesty International, violence against women, and his own childhood experience of domestic violence. In the video he mentions a piece he wrote for the Guardian - Patrick Stewart: the legacy of domestic violence - which is worth a read. All this struck me, having had a messy childhood myself. As he says, people hardly ever feel ok talking about this stuff, and very few people want to hear about it, but if it isn't addressed, how will it ever get fixed?
