You should also consider reading--if you haven't already--Anthony Burgess's "Man of Nazareth." Burgess (yes, of "Clockwork Orange" fame) wrote the screenplay for "Jesus of Nazareth" and based it on his book.
Oh thanks - I didn't know he'd written sucvh a book. The A Clockwork Orange movie is one I never want to revisit ;)
