You had to see this coming, given all the other trappings of despotism that Trump has embraced, from surrounding himself with generals (Flynn, Kelly, Matis, McMaster, etc.) to attacking the free press and trying to jail his political opponent. Trump's trying to cast this plan as a tribute to the troops, but it's obvious it's all about him.
