JFK

My favorite historian, Michael Beschloss :) I'm actually so old, I can remember the day JFK was killed - I was 12 and we kids were sent home from school early. I wish the Biden administration would just release all of the documents.

I remember that day too! One thing I recall about being sent home from school early is that I was walking home with my brother. We were arguing, "I get to tell Mom!" "No you don't, I get to!" Of course when we got home Mom had the tv on and already had heard the news.
I don't know if we'll actually learn anything from the released documents. It does seem unlikely that Oswald acted completely alone. One thing that impressed me from the video was how lax security had been. JFK and Jackie were in a completely vulnerable position, riding in an open convertable. And apparently Oswald was already under surveillance, but was allowed to stay on the 6th floor of that building. It is unclear if it was a hotel? I can't think of any other legitimate reason for him to be there.

It was the Texas School Book Depository, where Oswald worked, and it seems the FBI knew he worked there and had access to the 6th floor and that he was suspicious, but they did not warn the Secret Service, according to Michael Beschloss. Supposedly J. edger Hoover and JFK hated each other ... is that why?
