Suspected spy balloons from China crossed into the continental United States at least three times while Donald Trump was president, according to a statement Saturday by the Department of Defense citing an unnamed “senior defense official.” “Chinese balloons briefly transited the continental United States at least three times during the prior administration,” the statement said ...
But but but ... I'm shocked, shocked I say, to read this! Because Trump has denied it, and every Republican lawmaker is saying that Trump would never, never, let a Chinese spy balloon pass over the US, and that Biden is a terrible president for not shooting down the spy balloon before it entered our airspace.

It has been said that to qualify to be in the Dunning Kruger club, you can't know that you're in the Dunning Kruger club.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has shown yet again that she belongs to the club. She volunteered to shoot the balloon out of the sky. But she doesn't seem to understand that 60,000 feet is over 11 miles, and you'd be fighting gravity. The military pilot that shot it was doing it from a jet at high altitude.
And shooting up into the air is dangerous for those nearby, since the bullets fall back to earth at a pretty high speed. It's true, MTG seems to be oblivious to the nuttiness of what she says, unlike most of the Republicans politicians who just seem to be putting on a show.
