Spring is the only time of year when our lawn looks sort of nice. We have gotten some rain. But when it gets hot the grass will look dry. If I were any good at landscaping I should try to do a xeriscape. But that takes work too.
Many people around here have a xeriscape because of the drought. Here the grass (weeds) grows in the rainy season, from late fall to spring, and then after that all the grass stuff dies. We don't have buried sprinklers but I try to keep a green patch in the front for the cats to sit on. My grandparents had beautiful lawns and we would play croquet :)
