Israeli election

It's almost time for the Israeli election of a new PM. I see that Trump (but not Vance) has endorsed Netanyahu. I would say Netanyahu is ok, except I see that he promised at a campaign rally that far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir will be a high-ranking minister in his next government. It's thought that part of the reason settler violence in the West Bank has not been quickly dealt with is that Ben-Gvir oversees the police in the West Bank.

But anyway, here is a video of Eylon Levy interviewing former PM and present contender for the job, Naftali Bennett. I do kind of like him ... he is married to a well known chef ... but he is actually more conservative than Netanyahu. Here he is talking about the problem in Israel of the growing Haredi community, made up of people who will not serve in the military and who often rely on public assistance.
