Richard Williamson

I saw posts around blogdom about the ex-excommunication of those reactionary critics of Vatican II, the SSPX bishops. It really bothers me that guys like this get off the hook while others endure the continued wrath of the CDF (see Fr. James Martin's post at America's blog). One of the bishops - Richard Williamson - is especially notorious for his anti-Semitism. If you can stand to, take a look at this truly disturbing interview with him .....

I'm disgusted beyond belief. Thanks for the link to the article by Martin. I'm pretty underwhlemed by the reaction I see out there so far. It's just sickening.

Seeing that these clowns all got off the hook, I hope Cardinal Martini starts consecrating his own bishops now.

I urge him to do so as quickly as possible.

It would really be interesting to know what his views are today.

He seems to be saying in this video that historical evidence shows that there was no gas chamber and/or that it's impossible that a large amount of people were killed by those chambers.

My opinion is that he would be better off praying than getting involved defending other people's views of Jews as to what their so called "Historical Truth" might pertain to be.

God have mercy on all our souls!

Hi Jeff,

Yeah, me too. I saw that dotcommonwel's blog has a post about it too. Martini - too bad he wasn't picked as Pope.

Hi Victor,

Williamson holds a lot of weird ideas, including that the US government planned and executed the 9/11 terrorist attack, blowing up the two towers with explosives, instead of them being brought down by planes, so that we would have justification to attack the Arabs.

I really don't know anything about this child of god but it's clear to me that he should stick to praying and keep his 'Believed Propaganda' to himself.

It's a good thing that Jesus commanded me to forgive him but because of his position, if he hasn't changed his ways, forgive me Lord but I might be tempted to send sinner vic to pay him a visit cause we Catholics have enough on our plates already without the likes of his sins adding to IT.

He’s lucky that Jesus is every sinners friend but enough is enough don’t you think?

Hi Crystal

Sadly Card Martini is very sick. He would be a great Pope.
He's last book is filled with wonderful reflections. He really want to reach out everyone, most of all who feels himself far from the Church.
He understands very well that : "The law was made for man, not man for the law".
