Pretty! And you have loquats?!
We have many here in the village, but the birds and bats usually eat them before we can. In Hebrew: sheh'-sek .
Yes, I think Israel and central CA has the same kind of climate. The first place I saw them , though, was in Bermuda. I think that's why my stepfather planted them in the yard - he's from Bermuda.
