It's spring!

While much of the country is experiencing a polar vortex, in my area it's springtime in January - 66 F and sunny.

The strange yellow flowers are beginning to bloom ...



Even the fungi are happy ...



And the loquat tree will soon be making loquats ...

I'm so jealous! It was minus 10 this morning. The car wouldn't start, and we had to get a new battery.
Are loquats good to eat?
I think your little yellow flowers are some type of oxalis, or wood sorrel.

I feel for you - I hate the cold. I worry about the homeless people and the outdoor animals there too. Yes, loquats are good, sort of tropical-ish. They grow in Bermuda and I think that's why my stepfather planted the tree here - he's from Bermuda.
