I learned about Emily and her father on the news right after the October 7 attack, and the story stuck with me, perhaps because the father was from Ireland. I'm glad she has been released, but the majority of hostages have not been. People want a permanent cease fire? Get the terrorists to release all the hostages noow.

That was a really moving interview. I am so glad Emily is reunited with her father. It said her step-mother had been killed, but it's unclear if her mother had been kidnapped? A bunch of family members were shown, hopefully one of them was her mom.
You are right, all of the hostages have to be released.
Hamas took those hostages to use them - I'm pretty sure a time will come when they will try bargaining with them again. But I suspect they will keep some to the very end to protect themselves. It must be a nightmare for their families.
