None of the above?
Today I got a survey from one of my reps in Congress asking me what I thought the US should do about Syria. He listed a number of options and asked me to choose one .... do nothing, limited military strike, full attack, humanitarian aid only, etc. and I realized I don't know what to choose. As a mostly pacifist, I lean toward the humanitarian aid only option, but the assumption I see everywhere online - that doing nothing equals peace - seems deluded .... the reason this is an issue at all is that people have been killed, are now being killed, and will continue to be killed. Killing more people just to make a point seems wrong, and doing nothing while people die also seems wrong. I don't know what's best so I can't fill out the survey :(

Hey Crystal, that's exactly what "I" have been telling Victor but "I" should have kept our godly thoughts to ourselves cause long story short, Victor fasted five hours and not even a pill did he take and we gods were left to put UP with those four per cent mother, father, son and holy spirit of his body, "I" mean our kingdom now. Believe "IT" or not we spoke to some of their so called angel cell and "IT" was not easy for U>S (usual sinning) gods now! :)
Crystal was is even funny her, "I" mean funnier is that some of those lost angels told me that they believe that this GOD is really (Good Old Dad) and longer story short her, "I" mean shorter, this GOD means well and "IT" is not His fault that that that we gods didn't all wash our hands before that eternal meal. These lost angels must think that they have a LOT of (G)all messing around with us gods now.
What scares us is not that a few more silly babies who are not really babies who want in on the little heaven on earth that we gods have found. Look Crystal, don't let Victor fool YA cause there never was an Atom, "I" mean Adam worth saving cause they just keep putting wo man, down and......
END YA SAY sinner vic! Why do you want to fly over The cookoos nest now?

Go figure brothers and sisters in Christ now! :)

Thanks, Victor - I've never heard that song before.
I'm glad to hear your rep is asking the people. But how many people can understand enough to make a decision? How many even know where Syria is, let alone Damascus?
Westerners think rationally and with Judeo-Christian ethics and thus will never be able to understand what motivates men in the Muslim Mideast.
IMHO there can be no limited military strike. Any strike on Syria will mushroom into an uncontrollable violent genie once he is let out of the lamp. Everyone will suffer and many will die--Syrian civilians, Israelis, Americans, and those in neighboring countries.
Those who want to help should first of all help the millions of refugees (mostly children) living in makeshift tents, as soon the rain will begin again.
Hi Dina,
It's true - we over here have really no idea of what's going o there or of the right way to "fix" it. I think most people in the US (and in the UK) are against military intervention. I think the politicians in the US are more for it, but I'm not sure exactly why - I think some believe the only way to help the people getting hurt is to punish the bad guys and their worry is that just helping refugees won't stop Syria from continuing to make more and more of them, but given limited intervention, all intervention will do is probably make things worse.
Would you be interested in writing a guest post for my blog about what you think about the whole situation? Not many people visit here but the few who do visit might find it interesting and instructive.
PS - I went back and filled out his survey and chose "humanitarian aid". Thanks for your input, Dina.
Well, I'm honored by your invitation but really, I am no expert. I just live here and have my own personal impressions.
People could get more and better information just by taking a quick look at a few of the daily Israeli newspapers once in a while like
