That's an interesting report. I have to believe Steve Erlanger knows what he's talking about. I'm afraid things won't turn out well for either Israel or the Gazans. I can't see that the terrorism by Hamas has benefited anyone, including their side. I am reading reports that Hamas killed babies and children. That alone should lose them any world support.

I am reading reports that Hamas killed babies and children. That alone should lose them any world support.
I think, though, that it has earned them kudos from other Islamic states that haye Israel, like Iran. Different pro-Palestinian groups here in the US have actually been celebrating the attack. NPR has this: Pro-Palestinian events across the U.S. trigger outrage from many politicians
