I just wish the suffering of innocent people could be eased. I see that the US is building a temporary pier into Gaza so that ships can bring food and medicine. Women and children are suffering the most. I think the Hamas top brass are preserving their own skins by being somewhere else.
Yes, the suffering is awful. I worry even about the animals there in Gaza, like all the donkeys. I think this goes on all the time when there's a war, but it's usually not scrutinized so completely as it is being in this case. I read that about 70,000 civilians died in the war in Afghanistan, over a much longer time, of course, but I don't remember anyone showing films of that every night on the news.

About the war ... I have not seen any alternate plan offered about what to do about the war, aside from Israel just giving up and leaving Gaza with Hamas still the government there, still plotting more attacks, and also getting other Arab countries to rebuild Gaza. And Israel, with over 1000 citizens raped, tortured and murdered, and about 200 taken hostage, they are just supposed to live nextdoor to monsters and await the next attack? What is the alternative?
