El-Sayed
El-Sayed has won the Michigan primary. His job now is to reassure the voters who didn't vote for him that he will represent them well and that we Dems have to put our differences behind us now and gear up to beat the Republicans.
I wouldn't have voted for him myself, because he seems obsessed with making a foreign country, Israel, into the source of all problems, a boogeyman to get the youth vote that Dems lost in the last election. To me that seems dishonest and also antisemitic.
But this appears to be the party's plan for winning the midterms, along with supporting the DSA candidates too. I guess it is all about young white and mostly male voters? Thing is, the Democratic party has been powered by Black voters and by women voters. If the party alienates them, this new plan will fail.
