Archbishop Diarmuid Martin for pope!

US abuse victims suggest Irish pope

On a day when the cardinals again failed to name a date for the forthcoming conclave to elect a new pope, a US abuse victims’ lobby named Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin as one of three “most promising candidates” to succeed Benedict XVI. In a provocative gesture given that Dr Martin is not a cardinal, clerical sex abuse victims’ lobby Snap said the archbishop, along with the archbishops of Manila and Vienna, cardinals Luis Antonio Tagle and Christoph Schönborn, represented the “least worst” choices.

OK, it would be a long shot, but it would be so wonderful to have a pope I could respect. Here's a video of Archbishop Martin on 60 Minutes last year ...

Crystal, i'm sure that you could respect whom ever The Holy Spirit has already chosen but whether we can weather "IT" is another question all to get her, "I" mean together NOW!

Long story short! All of my spiritual reality cells have seen the clip that you provided and taken to heart, "IT" is enough to drive any "ONE" crazy. Unless we do want to go crazy, all we can do is try to keep each Eve and Adam in honest check until The LOVE of The Holy Spirit deals with "IT".

Let U>S (usual sinners) try and keep "IT" in perspective while keeping all of U>S humans in honest check and remember that "ONE" started all of this and "ONE" will finish "IT" in HIS OWN WAY NOW!

GOD (Good Old Dad) Christ YA don't want me to start naming names! Do YA NOW?

Go figure! :)

Hi Victor,

Thanks for the link. Speaking of Noah's ark, I'm looking forward to the new movie ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noah_%28film%29

Bishop Martin would be the best choice to lead the Church into the foreseeable future, as he is one of a very few who seems beyond contempt, with regards to the child molestation scandal which has plagued Catholicism for more than a decade. One only needs to see the 60 Minutes segment to realize the depth, kindness, and understanding this man possesses. His election to the Papal Throne would restore faith in the institution, and beckon the return of many "lost" Catholics, like myself. However, I fear politics will prevail, and the College of Cardinals will make a lateral move, at best.
